Fail Mail Friday for 11 February 2011

Welcome to the our next installment of Fail Mail Friday. This is where we showcase a kill mail that we pirates would call a “failure”.

And so, we have our second capital ship fail mail. Our last one was a carrier, this one is a Dreadnought.

Where do we begin? For those of you who are not aware, Dreadnoughts have one main intended purpose, to deliver a large amount of damage onto a target. So, the first thing you fit on a dread are it’s weapons and a siege module. That’s what goes in the high slots. The lows and mids usually will consist of damage modules and some form of tank and then perhaps some capacitor rechargers to keep your weapons running for as long as possible.

We have here something very different. There are some weapons fitted, however, there are two different remote repair modules in the high slots and no siege module, thus reducing the damage output significantly. The mid slots do have some tanking that is appropriate for this class of ship but the low slots. Uhm, yeah, nano fittings. Not really what you want to see on a damage dealing ship.

If you can endure looking at this fit, please feel free to comment, I can’t say anything more as I am faint from the blood loss through my eyeballs.

So, congratulations to BobFromMarketing for our Fail Mail Friday submission. As being the selected for this week’s fail mail, BobFromMarketing will receive a whopping 480, 000 isk for one of the Overdrive Injector System II modules that was fitted on this mail.

Have a fail mail that you would like to submit? You can send me an in game email to Ga’len with Fail Mail in the subject line. You can also contact me on Twitter @Galen_Druid or send me an old fashioned email to and again, use Fail Mail in the subject line.
